Maker Day (without Tsukuru) Hello, the 15th of February is a day to celebrate and share the joy of game development. Gotcha Gotcha Games is hosting another “RPG Maker Festival” to commemorate!
The theme of the prestigious online event “RPG Maker Festival” is “Creators and players, everyone is the star!” There will be a wide range of games made with RPG Maker, as well as new releases, discounts, and DLCs.
There will be 1,074 games this year, which is a record number of titles! Don’t pass up the opportunity to play fantastic games at discounted prices and discover new masterpieces.

Action Game Maker is a new development in the Maker brand, built on top of the Godot Engine and made to enable anyone to create 2D action games without the need for programming skills.

Reborn RPG Maker 2000 DLC
Twenty-five years have passed since the initial release of RPG Maker 2000. We’re celebrating by re-releasing some of the content that was originally included in the RPG Maker 2000 Handbook. This content includes tile sets, characters, animations, sound effects, and voice lines, all of which have been updated for use with RPG Maker MZ. Also included in a suitable format are the original RPG Maker 2000/2003 assets.
This is a fantastic chance to add these assets to your collection, regardless of whether you’re a collector who has never had the chance to obtain the Handbook or you simply like the way they look!

“Beyond Expectations” is the theme of the RPG Maker 2025 Game Jam because we want players to be astonished by the concepts that lurk in their brains, whether it’s an exciting plot or a clever game design. We believe that by combining it with the strength of RPG Maker Unite, which was developed with Unity, designers would be able to advance their concepts.
- Theme: Exceeding Expectations
- March through April (TBD) is the submission period.
- Jam Itch.io is the host.
- The total prize value is $3,000.
For a brief period, RPG MAKER UNITE is available for free on the Epic Games Store for anyone who wants to play but doesn’t currently have any RPG Maker editions. To be ready for the game jam, start learning now. We can’t wait to see all of the new creations—more information will be revealed soon!

The inaugural Asset Contest for the RPG Maker series will begin shortly!
Theme: Fifth Spring Submission Tile sets, characters, enemies, audio, and other (UI/icons, etc.) are some of the categories.
Time frame for submissions: early February to late March (TBD)
Itch.io is the contest host.
Prize: an Amazon gift card with an estimated 50,000 yen value will be given to one winner in each category.
Asset Compatibility: RPG Maker MZ, RPG Maker MV, or RPG Maker Unite must be supported by the submission.
