I have mixed feelings about Door Kickers 2. Although it’s a fantastic strategy game, I find it really difficult to complete the tutorial objectives. To murder terrorists and free hostages, you assemble a group of men and go on raids on compounds. It’s really well-made and rather cool. For that, I can’t really blame it.
The uneven difficulty is what I can blame. The original Door Kickers were a little more lenient, you see. I seem to recall that you could make mistakes and simply redo the segment instead of having to restart the entire quest. You don’t have that privilege here. Since I put a guy in the middle of a raid, I thought it would be better to show you a video of it the wrong place looking the wrong direction.
The grated gate with ten guys on the other side or the path I used are the two entrances to the compound shown on the map above. That would necessitate a sudden explosion and hasty entry while praying. There are two approaches to play: planning and active direction. Planning entails creating routes, deciding where to look, and deciding what to do at various stages.
The issue with preparing is that your adversaries could be anywhere when you have the guys carry it out. They aren’t really that dumb. Because you can adjust your tactics at any time, I find active directing in Door Kickers 2 to be a little bit simpler at times.
